Job Description
This role sits at the center of a newly forming competence hub with strong international impact and long-term investment backing. You will shape product vision, governance, and cross-country collaboration for a business-critical system.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As Product Owner, you will lead the vision, roadmap, and operational governance of a complex core platform used by multiple international entities. You will act as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, IT leaders, and external delivery partners. The role combines product leadership, stakeholder orchestration, and team management, with direct influence on strategic decisions and system evolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and drive the long-term product vision and strategic roadmap
- Lead and manage a growing local team, including prioritization and delivery oversight
- Coordinate collaboration across multiple international stakeholders and IT counterparts
- Establish and govern a unified release cycle across all participating entities
- Manage relationships with external technology providers, including contract oversight
- Act as the first escalation point for delivery, stakeholder, and operational issues
- Prepare and lead governance forums, including steering committees and decision-making materials
- Ensure alignment between business goals, technical delivery, and budget constraints
- Track KPIs, delivery performance, and stakeholder satisfaction, implementing corrective actions when needed
- Drive standardization, reuse, and efficiency across countries and teams
- Oversee demand prioritization and ensure effective planning across multiple markets
- Support the evolution of the platform towards a broader ecosystem including new modules and services
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Head of Product, or IT Delivery Lead in complex environments
- Background in insurance, banking, or other regulated environments (strong advantage)
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder international environments
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills across business and IT
- Experience with vendor management and external delivery partners
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and product delivery
- Ability to manage budgets, priorities, and competing demands
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and guide teams
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
Required Education
- Relevant experience preferred over a formal degree.
