ROLE OVERVIEW
As IT Architect, you will be responsible for the overall technical direction, architecture, and evolution of a core enterprise platform. You will act as a technical authority across countries and vendors, ensuring quality, scalability, and long-term sustainability of the solution. The role combines hands-on architectural thinking with governance, vendor oversight, and strategic planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and drive the architectural vision and long-term evolution of the platform
- Oversee application, data, and integration architecture across multiple markets
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions
- Guide and challenge external vendors on design, implementation, and documentation quality
- Lead architectural decision-making and provide expert guidance to stakeholders
- Design and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Support modernization initiatives while maintaining system stability
- Oversee system lifecycle, including upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies where relevant (e.g., cloud, AI capabilities)
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with product, delivery, and business teams on solution design
- Facilitate architectural discussions across international teams
Requirements
- Proven experience as IT Architect, Solution Architect, or similar senior role
- Strong background in enterprise systems and complex architectures
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack (e.g., MS SQL, .NET/C#, APIs, JavaScript)
- Solid understanding of system lifecycle, including upgrades and legacy transformation
- Experience working with monolithic systems and their gradual modernization
- Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic, business-driven decisions
- Experience managing or overseeing external vendors and delivery quality
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in insurance, banking, or regulated environments is an advantage
- Interest in modern technologies (e.g., cloud, AI integration) is a plus
Required Education
- Relevant experience preferred over a formal degree.
