As an Application Administrator, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support, upgrade, and optimize applications for internal customers, particularly those related to rating and billing functions. If you are a Linux expert who enjoys streamlining processes and ensuring high application reliability, this role offers you a unique opportunity
Job Description
  • Managing system configurations, and performing routine upgrades and installations
  • Oversee the life cycle of the internal application, including installation, decommissioning, and necessary restarts to ensure optimal performance
  • Monitor and analyze application performance, identifying areas for improvement and proactively implementing necessary adjustments
  • Collaborate with a small operations team and two DevOps colleagues to deliver seamless services to the internal client base
  • Handle application maintenance activities and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Participate in on-call support rotation
  • Leverage scripting (Bash or other scripting languages) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
  • Extensive experience with Linux systems administration, including familiarity with file systems, system performance tuning, and security management
  • Experience with application management tasks
  • Exposure to Bash scripting
  • Troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex issues independently and provide root-cause analysis
Required Education

Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience in Linux administration
