We are seeking a strategic and hands-on functional architect to lead the design and evolution of IT solutions. As a Cluster Architect, you will be instrumental in shaping the functional, process, and technology architecture of over 40 interlinked applications that support core telco functions.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders from the start, translating strategic needs into clear, modular, and scalable IT architectures
- Define and design business capabilities and their supporting modules. Identify functional gaps and propose new modules or enhancements to existing systems
- Lead the end-to-end architectural process: from initial concept to solution delivery handover
- Support the transformation of monolithic applications into modern microservice-based ecosystems using micro frontends and clean APIs
- While not responsible for detailed development, your high-level understanding of cloud, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and database technologies will be key to guiding teams toward the right choices
Requirements
- Background in functional architecture and business capability modeling
- Ability to decompose complex business requirements into modular components
- Practical experience with API lifecycle, gateway exposure, and backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies
- Experience in enterprise IT transformations, ideally in telecom or similar complex environments
