As a Data Designer you will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams, act as a technical advisor during the migration to GCP, and ensure the development of scalable, maintainable data architectures. This role blends technical design, data engineering, and project coordination.
Job Description
- Cooperate on the migration of data warehouse solutions from on-premises to GCP
- Design modern data architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business needs
- Define and implement data modeling standards and ETL processes
- Support integration of reporting platforms and analytical tools
- Ensure compliance with data protection and classification standards
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge transfer
- Coordinate testing efforts for data pipelines, integrations, and platform functionalities
- Actively participate in team ceremonies and Agile delivery cycles
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles
- Command of data modeling principles
- Experience with data engineering (data modelling, ETL processes, SQL, Python)
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Familiarity with legacy DWH systems and Oracle databases
- Experience with UNIX-based systems, version control (GIT)
- Experience in a tech lead, team lead, or project coordination role
Nice-to-have
- Understanding of data protection, classification, and anonymization principles (a plus)
- CCNA, CCNP, CCDP
- ITIL certification
Required Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
Required Language
- English - fluent
- German - B1/B2 (ability to communicate)
