As a Data Designer you will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams, act as a technical advisor during the migration to GCP, and ensure the development of scalable, maintainable data architectures. This role blends technical design, data engineering, and project coordination.
Job Description
  • Cooperate on the migration of data warehouse solutions from on-premises to GCP
  • Design modern data architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business needs
  • Define and implement data modeling standards and ETL processes
  • Support integration of reporting platforms and analytical tools
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and classification standards
  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate testing efforts for data pipelines, integrations, and platform functionalities
  • Actively participate in team ceremonies and Agile delivery cycles
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles
  • Command of data modeling principles
  • Experience with data engineering (data modelling, ETL processes, SQL, Python)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.)
  • Familiarity with legacy DWH systems and Oracle databases
  • Experience with UNIX-based systems, version control (GIT)
  • Experience in a tech lead, team lead, or project coordination role

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of data protection, classification, and anonymization principles (a plus)
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCDP
  • ITIL certification
Required Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields

  • German - B1/B2 (ability to communicate)
