Job Description
Key Job Description:
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into the software development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying and automating cloud application releases.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of cloud applications through effective monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Apply best practices in cloud security (managing identity and access, data protection, network security configurations).
- Work closely with the security team to conduct security assessments and compliance audits
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly evaluating and incorporating new technologies and methodologies into the team’s workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure that supports seamless deployment and operation of applications.
- Ensure continuous availability of cloud-based applications and services through proactive monitoring and performance optimization.
- Lead efforts in automation, utilizing scripting languages and automation tools to streamline deployment and operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Facilitate cloud capacity planning and cost management to optimize resource utilization and reduce expenses.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a focus on cloud application operation.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of network protocols, IP networking, and security principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Language
- Proficiency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
