Job Description:
- Develop applications to process large volumes of data, ensuring no duplication and harmonization across the company.
- Lead the transition of data processing and storage to GCP, while maintaining the flexibility to work with other cloud solutions.
- Focus on data engineering and analytics to enhance current and future data structures and handling.
- Design data structures that align with data principles and business processes.
- Collaborate with a team of analysts and business operations experts to analyze current business processes and requirements.
- Plan and implement the future data strategy, focusing on storing data in a centralized data pool.
- Participate in the transformation from current virtualized IT environments and AWS to GCP.
- Work as part of a larger team, contributing to a significant Google partnership and subsequent data platform transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and technologies.
- Experience in architecting data warehousing solutions on BigQuery and managing databases on GCP.
- Proficiency in advanced analytics and reporting tools on GCP, such as Data Studio and Looker.
- Unification and harmonization of data processes across different countries.
- Strategic planning for future data architecture and management.
- Collaboration in a team-oriented environment, enhancing data capabilities.
- Driving the transition from current IT environments to a GCP-based solution.
Requirements
- Strong data engineering and analytical background.
- Familiarity with various cloud solutions, with a preference for GCP knowledge.
- Experience in designing and implementing data solutions in a multinational context.
- Ability to adapt to and lead transformation initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in a data-centric role, focusing on capacity enhancement for business process analysis.
- Ability to design data structures that adhere to data principles and support business processes.
Required Education
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
