We are looking for a seasoned Senior Application Administrator with a comprehensive understanding of Linux environments, middleware components, and a strong background in application administration rather than just system maintenance. This role requires a unique blend of technical proficiency, operational discipline, and a DevOps mindset to ensure the seamless performance of our portal and backend applications. Key responsibilities and requirements include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux-based applications and servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage middleware components, enhancing the connectivity and efficiency of our application infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain firewall rules and cloud-based solutions to secure and scale our applications globally.
- Utilize DevOps tools and practices to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.
- Participate in daily operations, including proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and performance tuning.
- Engage in on-call duties to ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of critical applications.
- Collaborate with global teams to support business operations and contribute to strategic projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Application Administrator, with a strong background in Linux environments and not just limited to Linux system administration.
- Expertise in managing middleware components and understanding their role in application architecture.
- Familiarity with firewall configurations and cloud technologies, with a demonstrated ability to implement secure and scalable solutions.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies, with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code is a plus.
- Experience with both portal and backend applications, showcasing versatility and depth in application support.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations, demonstrating reliability and commitment to operational excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to incident management and resolution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
