Become part of a collaborative and expert team managing advanced applications for customers in industries such as insurance and automotive. These applications process vast amounts of data on physical Linux servers and cloud environments. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will ensure the seamless operation of these systems, supporting various customer-specific solutions.
Job Description
  • Administer and manage Linux servers
  • Oversee the operations of Cloudera-based applications
  • Perform monthly patching, version upgrades, and full operating system installations
  • Handle incident management, performance analysis, capacity planning, and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Hadoop-based applications
  • Collaborate with the team on end-to-end stack management, including transitioning workloads to containers (Kubernetes is a plus)
  • Scripting for automation and operational tasks
  • Participate in on-call rotations every six weeks, including first and second-line support
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
Requirements
  • Must-Have Skills:
    • Linux system administration skills (Red Hat preferred)
    • Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and application management
    • Upper-intermediate (B2) proficiency in English
  • Nice-to-Have Skills:
    • Knowledge of Hadoop-based distributions (Cloudera preferred; Hortonworks or MAPR are acceptable)
    • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
    • Bash scripting expertise
    • Familiarity with Hadoop tools such as Impala, Hue, and Hive
