This position is a unique opportunity to define and implement reliability strategies, influence technical and organizational change, and steer cross-functional teams toward operational excellence.

This role offers a clear path to executive leadership and gives the right candidate the chance to shape the future of IT service reliability worldwide.

Job Description

On this role you will be responsible for setting the technical and organizational vision that ensures consistent, high-performance delivery of digital services. You will lead global teams, drive innovation in infrastructure reliability, and align strategic initiatives with core business outcomes. This is a senior-level position that demands both technical fluency and high-level leadership, especially in distributed environments.

  • Act as a senior escalation point for major incidents, leading root cause analysis, implementing systemic improvements, and ensuring operational readiness.
  • Establish consistent tooling and frameworks for diagnostics, system visibility, and performance tuning to enable proactive reliability management.
  • Champion infrastructure as code, zero-downtime deployment, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline release processes and reduce operational risk.
  • Oversee the ongoing transition from monolithic systems to cloud-native, scalable solutions, driving modernization and reducing technical debt.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on platform stability, availability risks, and long-term reliability planning, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Promote ownership, blameless learning, and continuous improvement throughout the engineering organization.
  • Define, implement, and monitor SLOs, SLIs, availability targets, and incident recovery timelines across teams and services.
  • Introduce and tailor reliability engineering methodologies that align with the technical landscape.
  • Build strong partnerships with product, operations, and technology leaders to coordinate priorities and support cohesive execution.

  • Practical experience with database performance tuning and architectural optimization
  • Strong familiarity with cloud-native architecture
  • Ability to lead across time zones and cultures
  • Confident in technical discussions and business strategy alignment, especially when influencing senior leadership
