Job Description
We are seeking an experienced System Design Engineer with a strong background in electrotechnics to lead the design and documentation of system cabinets that integrate sensors, computing devices, and network hardware. These assemblies are tailored to project-specific requirements and form the backbone of larger technology ecosystems. The role requires both deep technical knowledge and strong communication skills to coordinate across teams and manage system evolution through structured documentation and change processes.
Key Focus Areas:

Design and specification of control cabinets including wiring and hardware integration.

Creation of detailed wiring schematics and BOMs (Bills of Materials).

Setup and maintenance of part numbers, product data, and system components in ERP systems.

Generation of technical documentation in line with quality and compliance standards.

Collaboration with integration, engineering, and purchasing teams for project execution.

Implementation and tracking of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Contribution to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) procedures.

Continuous alignment with customer-specific requirements and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain electrical system designs using tools like AutoCAD (DWG format).
- Prepare complete documentation packages including connection diagrams and component lists.
- Define and manage product structures and materials in internal ERP systems (Helios).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system assembly and integration.
- Analyze technical input from customers, engineering, and procurement to support system configuration.
- Drive and document engineering change processes (ECOs).
- Ensure documentation meets internal QMS (Quality Management System) standards.
- Support and prepare for factory testing and validation activities.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and provide regular project updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical system design or similar field.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, hardware integration, and wiring practices.
- Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics (AutoCAD or similar CAD tools).
- Experience with BOM management and technical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience with FAT and QMS-compliant documentation processes is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with proactive and structured working style.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to adapt designs based on specific project or customer requirements.
Required Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Paragraph 21 is considered an advantage.
